Dacian, Wallachians and Romans....Oh My....

This week saw us cracking into another round of ADLG at club. My 100YW English are still in the process of being levied, so I once again borrowed Monkey's Wallachians and this time took on David's Roman legions.

ADLG is a pretty simple set of rules to use and come to grips with and the games themselves are over in a reasonable amount of time as well.

The Wallachian cavalry advances on the Roman lines.

The Romans won the day here but not after suffering heavy losses. Monkey couldnt bear just sitting on the sideline after the game was done so quickly ran to his car to retrieve his Dacians and their Sarmatian allies.

No gold for you Roman!

Such a good game! Must really get my Poms finished off.

Daryl and Sofia hit the battlefields of Europe for some Cold War Gone Hot action in Team Yankee.

The Soviet hordes rushing the Yank lines were too strong on the day.

And Mike and Andrew decided on an Imperial Stormtrooper training mission. I dont know how many hits were achieved...

Veers leading from the front...for a while...

The Mandalorian lurks...

NZTC - A Pictorial Retrospective

Last weekend saw the inaugural New Zealand Team Championships for Warhammer 40k. Teams from all over the country were invited to take part in a 40k extravaganza for glory, riches and bragging rights of being the best in the country.

TCOW, as the premiere wargaming club in Auckland, of course was at the top of the invitation list and knowing there was a spoon up for grabs meant we were very excited.

Monkey, Glen and I; Glen being a late inclusion with Reid pulling out faster than a broke guy in a brothel, headed up to Mighty Ape to take part. Glen was taking his Drukhari/Aeldari mix, Monkey had his Harlequins and I'd assembled a triple Redemptor Primaris Marine list with Bobby-G for some shits and gigs.

Haydn and Bartosh has a great setup in place with some different mission types and the promise of playing on the 40Kabal Twitch stream as well, how could you go wrong?

Let's look at some of the action from our games as well as some pretty army shots as well.

I managed to turn 1 kill a Wave Serpent in this game. Hellblasters kick ass!

Glen had his hands full with Nurgle...

While Harlequins didn't fare too well against Orks...

Playing in a fishbowl can be fun....

The thin blue line....

Guilliman faces down Yarrick...

And now, some Armies on Parade.

And back to the action...

Insert motivation speech here....

Morty....Morty....

I will have you Kharn.....

And we award people who played good...

And so, in 3rd Place, The Three Muppeteers.

In 2nd place, Wolfpack Gaming.

And the winners of the very first NZTC, Team S.A.D

That's a pretty nice looking trophy...but you know what looks better....

Yeah....

Massive thanks to all our opponents for the weekend and an even more massive thanks to Bartosh and Haydn for running a bloody top notch tournament.

We'll be back....
